Tickets for Australia vs India Sydney ODI and Canberra T20I sold out in just two weeks

The last time the two teams played in Australia, the hosts ended up winning the ODI series 2-1 while India won the T20I series 2-1 as well. The CA also revealed that there is a huge demand for tickets among Indian fans, and more than 16% of tickets were bought by them. The Bharat Army has purchased more than 2400 tickets.

Individually, Amit Goyal has bought more than 800 tickets for the Gabba T20I. The Indian community of Gold Coast and Pakka Local have also purchased more than 500+ tickets for each match at the MCG and Gold Coast.

“Exhausting our public ticket allocation for the SCG ODI and Manuka Oval T20I four months before the series is a testament to the tremendous interest in the upcoming season amongst cricket fans,” said Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager Events & Operations, Cricket Australia. He further added that they are thrilled to see continued strong engagement among Indian fans after the record-breaking Border-Gavaskar Trophy last summer.

Australia vs India series schedule

The first ODI between Australia and India will be played at the Perth Stadium on October 19, followed by the second at the Adelaide Oval on October 23 and the third at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on October 25.

The five-match T20I series will begin in Canberra on October 29, followed by the second T20I at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 31, the third in Hobart on November 2, the fourth T20I in Gold Coast on November 6 and the last T20I at the Gabba in Brisbane.
